any place that works on cummings can turn the speed up might cost ya 50 bucks or so
freightrunner Thanks this. -
I've always had trouble finding someone who works on Cummings. I had to settle for shops that worked on Cummins.
roshea, Oxbow, DrtyDiesel and 2 others Thank this. -
The process for the shop to turn up your governed speed takes less steps than it does for the billing clerk to produce the invoice and collect your payment via credit card for said service.

Thanks, so it will do all that is on the dash (85) or like 5 more miles an hour?
-
Depending on your gearing it should do 85 easy, I wouldn't recommend it unless you like watching your fuel gauge go from F to E
-
I get right at 7 mpg but i hate being confined to 73 mph

If you own the truck, any Peterbilt, KW, International dealer will have Cummins Insite diagnostic software to be able to reset your road speed governor to the max MPH. If you don't own the truck, they will contact the owner beforehand to make sure this is acceptable before they'll program it for you. If this happens, your boss could fire you for tampering with the speed limit controls and breaking company policy if you don't tell him beforehand and get his approval.

Most tires have a 75 mph speed rating ...faster than that your flirtin with disaster
Antinomian and corneileous Thank this. -
