I plan on calling a traffic lawyer from that local area I was in tomorrow. I'm from Indiana. It sounds like my best bet, is to get a local lawyer from that area to show up to court on my behalf and fight the ticket. If I were to let the 15 mph ticket stay on my record (which I don't plan on going that route) after the 3 years it obviously disappears from my record, but are employers able to still find that 15 mph ticket beyond those 3 years?
Lonesome Thanks this. -
Regardless..you best fight it...a 15 over ticket is a major offense with a cdl.

I’m not sure if this will help at all, I received a citation a few years back in AL, I’m a Florida resident, did some calling around to Florida firms and was referred to Kreps law firm out of Birmingham, it was a lengthy and somewhat expensive process, but they were able to do everything I had hoped. The citation was reduced to non moving, although the fine value was the same, and we were also able to dispute it through CSA and get that adjusted as well. Maybe Kreps, although they can’t help you in Ohio, could recommend a good place to help.

I spoke with the local lawyers in the small town of Ohio. All of them said they can probably get it down to 64 mph in a 55 mph zone. I was going 70. Would it still be worth it if they can't get it knocked down to a non moving violation

Does anyone know what the points are for a Indiana CDL if they got it down to 9 mph speeding. The ticket was issued in Ohio, but I'm licensed in Indiana

How much time did you save after the cop pulled you over and wrote your ticket?scottied67 and Lonesome Thank this. -
I've talked to my employer and I don't have anything to worry about as far as my current job. At this point it's about less points and not a major violation on my CDL record for any future employers if I decide to look else where down the road.
You're right it would've been simpler to drive the speed limit and no I obviously didn't save any time. I'm not asking for a lecture, you obviously don't have any answers to my questions besides what I should've done to begin with. It was a stupid expensive mistake that I made and more importantly something I learned from -
