    12 steps:
    1. Have a beer
    2. Scribble some stuff on a napkin
    3. Go to Fleet Farm, with maybe a stop at Menards
    4. Start construction
    5. Brat and beer break
    6. Resume construction
    7. Second hardware store run/ER trip
    8. Finish construction
    9. Borrow the Jalonski's trailer for the trip to the Racine County Fairground. After each strap is tightened say "that ain't goin no where"
    10. Tailgate as you assemble your machine
    11. Chuck a pumpking
    12. Old Fasioned time.

@gentleroger is just throwing his IQ around again using a fancy word for “catapult”. :biggrin_25523:

Saying trebuchet is a fancy word for catapult is the same as saying diesel is a fancy word for gasoline. Two very different processes from construction to application.

Plus, trebuchet is more fun to say.

And technically, on most IQ tests I score "below average", but that's because IQ tests aren't capable of measuring intelligence or cognitive processes. The primary use of IQ tests is to identify people who think in the same method as the person who made the test. They are also very effective at measuring spelling, something my dyslexic derriere struggles with.

Nope, most catapults are torsion engines, a trebuchet is a subset of the catapult family, but they utilise counterweights.

    Big difference
