Spring brakes Valve?

    I had just done an oil change on the truck 2005 Peterbilt 387 C13, took a break and a few minutes later an air leak from the truck. The parking brake valve was pushed in, when I pulled it the leak stoped. Under the truck the valve to the spring brakes purges as soon as you push in the knob.

    Yes it could. Clamp emergency hoses one at a time. Sometimes an ear to each chamber will pinpoint the offender.

    Not a chamber the valve blows air as soon as the knob is depressed with a hose looped to both ports

    Faulty valve. You need to get a new one. Take that one into the parts counter, so they can match it up.

    I am curious as to where the barbed fitting went that your hose was clamped to, though.

    What barbed fitting? The hoses for the service and spring brakes have a clamp mid hose. All the hoses to the chambers are flare fittings, no barbs?

    The fitting on the left would’ve had a barb with the hose clamped to it, just like on the right.

    I took each line off and looped a hose to check the valve. You are calling these 'barb' and I am using the term flare.

    I took the valve apart, it needs a diaphram, I see no valves close to this configuration on line?

    It's a standard quick release valve. As mentioned, if it's leaking out the bottom when you release the brakes, and lines removed, it's bad. Any parts house should have one in stock. They make them with 1/4" and 3/8" pipe fittings. Yours looks like 3/8" Screenshot_20230709_213312_Samsung Internet.jpg
