Hello. I have a unique situation and would like some input.
My Kenworth T660 starter: negative connection threaded portion on the terminal broke and left JUST enough to put the wires back on and tighten back down. The question is: can just the bolt be replaced or must I replace the entire starter?
Thanks for your help,
Sophia

The “bolt” is part of the ground kit and another cannot simply be screwed in. Starter must be disassembled for replacement. Any reputable starter shop could do it without issue.

Just replace the starter. It may be able to be replaced once the starter is off the truck, but the labor and finding an electrical shop to replace it might be a challenge.
lwlevens Thanks this. -
Any problem running the truck in the current configuration? ....with only 1 nut on the negative terminal?

As long as all the cables are on and it’s tight it’s a non issue.

JBWeld that mofo and get it down the road. HA HA. For real I would just get it replaced ASAP
