    Those oversize heavy haul trailers have independent steer rear axles, maybe its just a gimmicky mini version of that?

    Nahh- the video is from Europe (the volvo COE is the giveaway!) and they have some narrow little goat paths that masquerade as roads, so they probably need that trailer.

    The other trailers you mentioned usually have then because the OS they are hauling is very long too, and being able to steer the trailer wheels can get them around corners better.
