Stereo issues

    Put a new Bluetooth stereo in and power only comes on when my running lights are on, is it a harness issue or something like that

    Yes it would be a harness issue, most likely something was miss wired in the jumper harness from the factory plug to the plug for the new radio.

    But first was it a factory radio from peterbilt that you put in or an after market radio??

    You hooked up your yellow or red wire from stereo to the truck illumination wire. With a test light, you will see that one of those wires will light it up while you are flipping the light switch on and off. Yellow-12 volt battery power. Red- key power. Replacement radios don't need an illumination wire.
