At some point you just gotta shut it down, regardless of what the clock says. Your body sooner or later will say “no more”,and fatigue can set in. This past weekend I ran a load from Leesburg,Florida to Norfolk,Virginia and decided to take a break in St. George, South Carolina, including an hour nap in the mix. When my 30 minute reset kicked in I had just under 3 hours of drive time remaining on my 14 hour duty clock. That 1 hour nap turned into a full 10 hour break and reset, which actually did me some good(as I was more fatigued than I originally thought). And I still made my delivery on time.
kw107 and I.C. Weiner Thank this. -
