It does not cost as much as you think .An O/O can be up an running less than a grand if you already have your ins if there is anyone that will like to know the simple steps I will lay them out for you.
A driver will be surprised that they are almost operating as such any way.

    Bottom line. I'm independent because I enjoy headaches...some don't.

Just imagine if folks took one month off from Thanksgiving until Christmas?
200 people a week,at all the megas, getting in line for a fleece deal....lots of unused trucks sitting at terminals.,that would be funny.

Just think, you take your one truck to P&G and they give you their business, but you need to spot them 5 trailers. The big boys have 3 trailers per truck, How you going to cover that?

Ive never been leased onto anyone, ive always ran under my own authority but it is definetley not for everyone, everyone has different scenerios in their life, a guy I know has everything paid for, house, cars, kids college fund, so he decided to lease onto a company that doesnt run him hard and he just drives now more as a leasure.

    freight-time Thanks this.

Lol this is too funny. So you think half of our customers are gonna do business with a one truck show? You do know that a lot of shippers require 25,50,75,100 truck minimum just to talk with them otherwise your defeating the purpose and dealing with brokers. Not every guy live in the same area. I'd go Independent if I could get my own customers but guess what I live in the best freight area in the country. On the other hand some guys live in great areas with a lot of shippers who will work with them. I'm very happy leased on where I'm at. You gotta remember some guys leased on do way better than a independent.

The real problem is exactly the opposite, the problem really is its to easy to get your authority,
