Hi eae, what do u mean you might not have the freedom. Before the suspension is lifted you have to pay the fine no doubt about that. How long did the judge suspend your licence for and if you don't mind me asking what was the suspension for?

hi pattyj. the fine has been paid and the suspension lifted problem is the suspension on my driving record. it was suspended due to failure to obey a traffic sign i was not in a vehicle. what i mean by freedom is basically i got a okay job right now working on a cruise ship but im looking for more of a lucrative career. cruiseship is kind of deadend as far as advancement and i dont know what might come up in my search for a career. trucking has my intrest the most but its not looking to bright right now.
so if i find another career within 3 years i might not consider trucking which makes it more disappointing because i really wanna drive a truck.
hope that makes sense.

Due to insurance reasons companies have a strict policy on mvr's especially if it's recent.Three yrs isn't the end of the world, trucking will still be here.I say keep doing what you're doing and explore your opportunities in trucking after a yr.The older the suspension the more likely your chances are.But that also means keeping a crystal clean mvr in the meantime.eae Thanks this.

Hi Chinatown good seeing you again.Anyway maybe ppl don't list companies that's in the op's situation because they don't wanna recommend them to bad companies.CC has a real bad reputation and you know that as well as everyone else does. There's no treasure in this company otherwise they wouldn't be the top 10 with such a horrible reputation.Even the op knows they're bad.I have read all his posts and he wants to make a good start for himself in this field. So I say be upfront and honest with him rather then giving him a any ole company,at least tell them alittle bit about CC.Chinatown Thanks this.

I was up front and honest based on the information at hand. I thought the guy was a heartbeat away from a homeless shelter.
As you know, many times on here we don't get the full story in the beginning. Several people try to help someone for days and days and then they throw the whole story at you such as, "Oh, I forgot, I just got out of prison last month and since then have received 3 DUI's." There's lots of them like that; you try to get them going with a new company because,"I need a new job because my dispatcher hates me and I'm not making enough money", then after 50 posts they say, "Oh, I forgot, had 3 at fault accidents with the company and they fired me, but that's OK because my dispatcher hates me anyway."pattyj Thanks this. -
People with bad records like that don't deserve a chance in this field. There's already enough bad apples.I see no point cluttering up our roads with more bad apples and making it even more unsafe for the motoring public. In Eae's case he has a sincere passion for trkdriving but hes going to have to wait awhile then he'll hopefully find a real good first company.eae Thanks this.

Seems we have a different definition of passion to do something; so I give up. Take care everyone.truckon Thanks this.
