even if the suspension didn't add any points to my license do insurance companies still view the suspension the same way? if the citation was issued some time ago (say three years ago) but the license is still suspended until the fine is lifted. does that still count as a recent suspension? just curious.

You said you paid your fine correct? Then I won't worry about it.I believe a suspension is viewed the same way with or without points. It all depends on the company concerning the mvr some go far back as 3 yrs others may only be a yr providing you haven't received any tickets other then your suspension. How many points did you receive?I know that's a big thing with carriers but only a one time deal they will keep it on record of course but may overlook it if that's the only points you have.

Look at it this way, many drivers have points and they're still driving. The main thing is let that suspension get old where companies won't think much about it.Right now its too recent and don't think one company will touch you.I had a bogus reckless driving on my record and had to wait yrs before I was given a chance..But on the flip side your suspension wasn't serious like driving under the influence or a wreck so that's a plus side in your favor. How long did you say you're suspended for?

Yes the fine has been paid i didn't receive any points. being that i work on the cruiseship 10 months of the year i have not even owned a motor vehicle therefore i didnt know my license was suspended (honestly forgot about the citation.) ive had the same job seven years sold my vehicle when i started the cruise job. according to the dmv website my citation was 5 years old it wasnt brought to my attention that my license was suspended until i applied for cdl school.

that is another thing that i am having trouble understanding. i talked to the dmv today and they told me the suspension WAS lifted at the time i payed the fine i asked if employers will be able to see that my license was suspended on a mvr check and they couldnt answer that question. does the suspension being lifted mean it isnt on my mvr?
