    Was citation issued to you thru mail?Maybe you was jaywalking.I know in vegas its a serious crime and could result in a steep fine to jail time.That would be not obeying a traffic device.

    its for standing behind a closed sidewalk sign while trying to cross to the other sidewalk after a ball game in wisconsin. officer hoped out the car asked me if i see the closed sign, identified me, wrote a failure to obey a traffic control device sign ticket .

    That's not a bad offense as you and I see it but this industry takes failure to obey a traffic device and something completely different maybe speeding thru a lite,not stopping on red ect ect.They're going to make this offense into a huge deal knowing them Because your ticket doesn't specify what you did exactly.

    the license plate box on the citation is blank. can i use that to prove i wasnt in a vehicle?

    not sure if it is on the dmv report. it is really my fault because i didnt pay the fine in a timely manner. i just wish it wasnt a traffic citation.

    If your lucky, your MVR will (maybe?) say what the ticket is for exactly, maybe with a code number or some such. I know on my apps when it asks about license suspensions there is a box to explain the issue.

    I think it wouldn't be a bad thing to get a copy of your MVR, and start filling out online apps. Do you have your CDL or looking for pre-hire letters?
