Haven't seen this kind of thread started yet. So just wondering which would be the better choice.

Swift require 3-4 weeks driving with a 3 day orientation. Lot of terminals all over.
Roehl do a 6 day orientation with 10-15 days driving.
Only Fontana and Phoenix terminals with the rest being out back East.

Both are roughly 35cpm. Roehl requires you commit for 75,000 miles.
    Any comments on either?

haha I know. Well it's because where I live I am miles away from training. That and some companies won't fly me out there. At least Swift is close and Roehl will fly me out to training.

If you want 48 state OTR, go with Swift.

Roehl is pretty much Mid-West regional, with occasional runs further out, according to the recruiter I spoke with. Roehl does have some good home time plans if that is important to you.

Also, it's possible that Roehl will put you on the hook for like $3000 if you leave before a certain amount time after they train you (I am NOT talking about CDL training).

A recent thread on here mentioned some possitive stuff about Swift's flat bed division.

Who says anyone is going to quit? Beandip: I like Roehl's home options.

Honestly, if your in Roehl's hiring area, and you like their home time I'd go with Roehl. I think they will get you home on time more consistently.

I also think they allow 1200w inverters (but I wouldn't bet my left pinky finger on that).

Seems like Roehl's equipment may be nicer.

Recruiter explained to me that people were signing up with Roehl for their training and then leaving. So now you have to commit to Roehl for 75,000 miles and if you leave before making those miles up you pay back 3000 dollars.
