Well, over the decades, I have seen a lot of folks get burned by the large carriers. I would only fall back on them if I couldn't get a job somewhere else. Some here have suggested looking at small carriers first. I concur. In fact, I take it even further, I would talk first with local outfits, then the smaller carriers that run your area, and as a last resort look at the big carriers. Trucking is like a marriage. You had better know what you are going to bed with before you say "I do".
