Going swift flatbed starting next year, have a medium size dog that will be coming along. Wondering what steps are required to bring her on board?

Pick up the phone and call the recruiter. Running flatbed its not so much the company is gonna be against u having a dog but some of the places u will pick up from do not want animals in truck at anytime

Pet policies vary greatly . My dogs size excludes me from even many pet friendly companies. It's best to call a company that you are interested in to find out their exact policy. Don't go on second hand knowledge.

A lot of companies have weight restrictions I think most are around 50 pounds

I dont know Swift's policy but I can tell you that there are a number of places that I picked up flatbed loads that don't allow animals even if they stay in the truck. And unless you have a yorkie or something like that, you won't want them on the truck. Tarp some steel in July in Phoenix and then have that dog jump all over you and have fur sticking to your sweat. Nah man I'm good.

    Per my driver leader.
He said 40 lbs or under.
500 dollar deposit( I didn t ask if you get it back or not).
    Have shot records.
But I have seen drivers with bigger dogs
