I thought you were already on Command ... You need to email the O/O VP and get on the list . AS far as pay, originally they were significantly better .. but we went through a pissing contest with the planners and they cut the pay back to Swift or less ... but Command went to battle and got it back. So now depending on the pricing it can be a few cents more than Swift. Sometimes less, but you don't have to take it. Though I may on occasion because it's better option than what Swift is doing.

Been there, done that. After I had a bad experience with a student and Columbus and my terminal both wanted him out of my truck, PHX put him in another. That did it for me. That and almost rolling my truck 3 times in one day. Ohh, and one final thing, as a L/O, penalize me as far as pay to train a student. Lose .05/mile for all miles, and all miles over 11K lose another 09/mi. They say that we will get it back if the students tests out and goes solo, but if he does not, that is money I lost.

After the Swift/Command "pissing contest" ended I told my guy at Command "I'm done hauling your heavy loads for "the Swift rate". So far I've averaged at least $100 over "the Swift rate" on every Command load I've done.

I do most of my dealing with Command while driving. I have my guy (at Command) email me with the actual pickup and delivery times as well as the pickup numbers and pay rate. Command is also VERY quick to solve problems.

Oh ... having that "guy" just a phone call away is great.

I've had issues where I got held up on one Command load, that made times tight on the next load. No need for a MAC 22, wait for the DM to contact a CSR, then maybe someone gets back to you, then the load gets taken off or rescheduled out a day ... Command will work directly with the customer.

I've had them hold shippers/lumpers over to load/unload me as soon as I could get there. It's nice to walk into a shipping office and they are glad you're there and have been expecting you, since Command had been keeping them updated ... as opposed to Swift, let everyone know you're behind schedule so they can communicate to the customer, only to walk into a pissed off customer because no one told them the truck was running behind.

... or walk into a customer with moments to spare to make a JIT appointment, only to have the secretary walk to the back office and say, "Swift's here without an appointment... AGAIN!!!"
