I will be testing with Swift for employment in the near future and am looking for insight regarding their current physical testing, Work Well, procedures at their Phoenix location. Hopefully someone is or was recently there can share their knowledge. I currently have a shoulder that is not 100% but workable so want to know exactly what you do and how much weight you have to lift ect. I am currently lifting weights trying to get to full capacity as quickly as possible but as you can imagine don't want to flunk the test. I know I can hold off reporting dates but really need to get to work ASAP. Thanks

Didn’t have to do any kind of physical test when I went through orientation in Richmond. Are you sure this is something they still do?

I went through the Swift CDL Academy in Lewiston Idaho last August and started on board with Swift driving out of Lewiston Idaho 1st week of September last year so 13 months ago and as long as you can climb into the truck and hold the steering wheel and not run into anything you were good to go.

Do they accept your current Medical Card or retest and send you for a sleep test?

In August 2017, a current MEC was accepted an no sleep tests were required.
JoeTruck Thanks this. -
They send u to their clinic in phx and u dont have to lift weights,, only arm circles and stretches basically demonstrate that ur arms and legs and body parts work properlly... Im sure u could train a half retarded monkey to pass these tests...the only ppl who fail are the ones on weird meds
