@Bains what truck are planning to do this too? Will you be doing the work or a shop?
No its not legal but I am curious if you thought this through. -
Illegal....
-
Just buy a truck with no def...
-
Supposedly only if the truck has a reconstructed title but that may vary by state
-
You can buy a kit (truck minus engine) brand new and put any engine you want in it, that is legal but States that require engines to meet a minimum years emissions standard (like California) will not allow you to use the truck with an engine that predates their minimum year and standard.
If you don't need to run in any of those states then the best possible way to buy a new truck is to buy a kit and install a rebuilt engine from the era when the engines were far more efficient and reliable (1998 - 2003); you will then have a new truck that will make you money instead of the repair shops.Bains Thanks this. -
On other hand I bought C15 double turbo (2001) 400k from an accidental truck .Socal Xpress Thanks this. -
How many miles on the MX13? The hardest part will be finding a shop willing to do this. It may cost you more then the truck will ever be worth again.

Buying a kit in July . I’ll be doing only Ontario (Canada ) runs .
