It just didn't work. Totally disorganized everyone in the office seemed like they hated their life. And the manager was rude and talked down too me like I was a child. I'm 27 and had a traumatized upbringing. Didn't really have time for that. The day I left yrc told me they can get started in a week. And Sysco I'm waiting to hear back. I just want to go somewhere I can stay till I retire.
Sysco or yrc

If the other place didn't work out because of that, probably don't go with YRC. lol
YRC has an utterly terrible financial history, so it definitely won't...PROBABLY won't be there until you retire. I don't know. How many lives can one company HAVE?McUzi, Radman and Buffalonytrucker92 Thank this. -
Ok everyone found out today that Sysco rejected me so that leaves just yrc. Now the woman on the phone told me the position is 2200 a week. Does that mean it's a bid one? Cause I know low man you gotta put your time in. The transportation manager is old high school football coach. He said lot of guy retiring soon. Do maybe it's the best time to get on board. The on call just makes my wife very worried. We need a steady income...

The lady on the phone only tells you what she is told to say. Yes the money is their if you fall into a bid job but highly unlikely.
I would contact a union steward to get the real story .
You will have to pass their strength test and DOT physical .skinnytrucker and jmz Thank this. -
Where could I find that number? I've never really delt with a major Union like the teamsters. At Pepsi had the steel workers union. And that sucked

My wife found an article that said yrc stopped it's free insurance? Does anyone know about this.

The government just loaned them $700 million dollars (on top of the $800 million they already owed other lenders). So thanks to that loan, they’re on top of their day-to-day expenses now like health insurance...but they also have $1.5 billion in debt that’s due in 4 years. Which is why most of us don’t recommend them for long-term job prospects.Texas_hwy_287, 201, Danny707 and 3 others Thank this.

Unfortunately I'll have to go and work there it's the only option I have at the moment. Hopefully I get a few years in make sum money and get out when something else opens up. I turned down jobs at XPO and fedex freight to go to ward. What a dumb choice I made ..LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
Never knew YRC did reefer. Is it still around?LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
