My apologies if this is repetitive since there are some other Sysco threads up, but Sysco Boston has an ad for a "Special" Delivery Driver. Looks as if it is a non-CDL type of position. Just wondering if anyone has any information on the possible difference between the Class A driver versus a "Special" one? I guess the Class A Delivery Drivers are not considered "special" lol![]()

I've seen times in the past that I wish Sysco had a special delivery driver. Managing retirement home in the NO area was fun sometimes when you ran out of something or whatever and had to go get it. Maybe this is what it is for, making small deliveries to places that need a fast, small order. Maybe it would be for just a small van of sometype.

Hello,
What they mean is you'll be driving a small straight truck doing all the stops the big trucks cannot get into or doing all the over flows and one off's like so and so is on vacation and everybody else who works at the place is an idiot and not capable of putting in an order so they submitted there order a day late missed there delivery day and had to call in and get a special off day delivery. Usually that kind of thing goes on the straight truck or cargo van. Which is what you would be driving which is why you do not need a CDL.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
