If you mean squeals the just have the talk back removed.

If that's not something you want to do then maybe you should try a different ex speaker, running a ground wire from the seat frame to the case of your radio, Different mike or have a CB shop install a talk that is not so loud. If it were me i would have it removed all together then you wont have to worry about it again!

If my radios have the talk-back feature ,I will usually have a switch so it can be turned off. LIKE the man says "turn it off" . I see more drivers worrying with the squeals on their talk back than what they are actually putting out on the air. About the only thing the talk back is really good for ; is maybe setting an echo or mic gain. But, IMO the best way to go with it is to put a switch on it OR, have it turned down so low that it will not squeal . If you choose this option you probably won't be able to hear it in the cab with the engine running.
It reminds me of a friend who runs a CB shop....He has a mic tester in his shop that has a talkback feature to test mics & echo boards etc. Once a driver came in hooked his mic up & enjoyed "talking to himself" so much he wanted a mic tester for his own enjoyment . I think alot of operators enjoy hearing themselves more than talking on the AIR!

That T-800 probably has the factory speaker right beside your ear, just behind the drivers window.

This setup is good for listening, but will squeal like crazy with a talk-back.

Have a galaxy 44,squeels real bad if mike gain is up very much.Their is a mod that came out several yrs ago to tone down the talkback on galaxy and conex.I now have a conex 4300hp with a seprate adj knob for talkback.Plus the internal speaker removed for a fan controlled at the old talkback on/off switch.Keeps the internal amp cool.:smt025

On any radio that did not come with talk back from the factory all you have to do is play around with the value of the resistor that is used. The resistor is placed on the back side of the radio board ( upper left corner )between the external speaker plug and the PA speaker plug. Go to rat shack and pick up a few different resistors and a cheap soldering iron and play around with the values until you get a sound level that your comfortable with.
