Ok so 3 weeks to go before my trek to MO for orientation / training I am really excited and a bit nervous feeling overwhelmed a bit I have never given up on anything I want but I know there is a lot to learn etc...just nervous I will not be able to do everything in regards to driving / backing the big rigs...is this a normal feeling? I've wanted to do this for 5 years finally the time is right I have a living wife and kids who are proud and excited for me....I want to succeed!!!!

Don't worry, you're apprehensions are normal for new drivers. Are you going with tanker, flatbed, or reefer? When I started a long time ago, I had a wife and 4 children at home. I wish this forum had been available then; it would have saved me from some mistakes in the beginning. I made the mistake of starting with a dry van company & almost starved. I don't work for Prime; I'm just giving you my opinion from experience. You should do just fine there with Prime. Try not to get involved with the lease/purchase until you've been a company driver for a couple of years and learned how the business works, then decide what's in your best interest. If you're a hard worker you will do just fine.
