TA Corning Is Closing

This is surprising news to me. It has always been jam packed and very busy. The Casino Truck stop off of Liberal exit didn't seem to take any customers from the TA on South st exit. Any time of the day or night it is packed as is all the business surrounding the Truck Stop.
If they are having financial problems, while they still are having booming business, I tend to believe it , but not that the money is not coming in.

 

If the place has plenty of business it may just be poor management that is putting it under. Upon TA leaving I'm sure that another company like PFJ might move in or an independent mom and pop.

I would actually like to see the truck stop equivalent of Bar Rescue with Jon Taffer that would overhaul some of these dumps.

So much for a guaranteed parking spot in Corning until something else opens if another truck stop does open in the same spot.

 

title says Corning and I thought Corning NY and couldn't remember a truck stop there. lol

 

I can just imagine all the creative parking that's going to start happening soon at the Petro and Love's.

 

I bet you are right. Somebody with a whole lot of money. The place was pretty old but the store that was connected to the restaurant was one of the healthiest truck stop convivence store I have ever seen , reminded me of a Quick Trip I saw in one of the states that have them.
