i have thought of that but not sure. mainly thought it might be a bad earth, cause the taco is meant to have a earth wire that runs to ground, not on ECM common return, any idea how i can work out which wire at the back of taco is the earth wire?
taco stoped working

-

Where I'm from its also called a taco (Tachometer).= RPM.
Odo (Odometer).= Distance traveled.
Speedo (Speedometer). = Speed traveled at.
Is this the OE taco or an after market fitment? -
oh u speak my tongue lol. yes it is the OE taco -
OE are more sophisticated.= More difficult to fix.
Sorry no Idea. -
thanks anyway for the help.

if u have a friend with a truck like urs u can ask to pull his taco and just plug it in to ur truck. if it works....bingo!!! bad gage. just an idea.
-
just unpluged and reconnected all wires into back of taco, no fix. taco is a VDO, was going to use multi meter to find earth wire but forgot to take it with me to the truck (in holiday mode LOL) so i will make sur i take multi meter with me next time and try and find earth wire and run a new one to earth and see if it fixes it. failing that i will have to get cummins to check it for me, oh the pain! the pain! i really hate paying cummins prices, just feel like i get shafted every time i walk in their door, might have to start taking some KY Gel with me to Cummins
