I went to cut the rivots off, then I discovered the wires where wired to the light. As I was expecting a plug. Do I need to buy a plug. Picture of old light and new light 1629808651525162014454.jpg 1629808502907105244974.jpg

Can't tell on second picture, but I'd buy a pigtail and be done with it

Yeah just go get the pigtails, they are cheap, like $7 each and they seal pretty well.

Just be sure to solder and shrink tube the connectors or your going to have wiring issues. Those lights are readily available
Pretty much standard for tail lights on new trucks. Better than hacking your wiring

Good choice. With the pigtail, you'll always have easy access to replacement lights almost anywhere.

That should be 18 or 16 gauge wire so a small heat shrinkable crimped connector would work.

Cover in liquid electrical tape. The corrosive chemicals on the road especially mag chloride will eat electrical and it will migrate up the strands of wires

Blue butt connector will work. Probably 16 gauge wire . Hit a TA shop they carry wire and butt connectors. Ask for the blue ones. Sometimes they just give them to me for free. But ask for the good ones. Dont buy the hard plastic ones.

This is what ur looking for
