After thinking long and hard about this and doing all my homework i filled out the online app today. I spent about 20 mintes on the phone after that and spoke with Cyndi. At first it looked like the answer was going to be no because i have been on Unemployment too long, but she will be seeing if they can slide it through because i have been doing work for my previous / current employer less than part time. It just was not enough pay or hours to get off unemployment. she works quick though, She asked me about heading over next week. YIKES! 1 week. I thought it would take at least a month to get everything verified.
I want to thank all the Prime drivers out there who share all their valuble inforation, I dont think i could have done this without the help of this Forum.
I know this is going to be tough. Right now in this horrible job market it just seems like this might be te right time. It was somthing i was hoping to do a little later on when the kids were out of the house.
I am just now this very moment starting to feel a little shaky, This has just put my stress levels through the roof and it takes alot to get me stressed out about anything.
thanks everyone.

Relax. You'll screw up your BP.

Yeah, they wanted me to be up there in like one week. I currently work full time and have some loose ends to tie up. I have to quit the job and so forth...

When they say they want to send you out within the next week or 2 , is that just their way to guage your commitment? It seems it would take a bit longer than that to run all the nessary background check and references. Its only been a couple days, I e-mailed the last piece of paperwork i needed to dig up yesterday. Would it be bad to call and check progress? I dont want to seem to desperate or pushy.
Is Greyhound really as bad as i hear? It would be a 20hr ride. I could do a one way car rental. Cost is about the same as a bus ticket. But the 20hr ride might give me some good study time. -
It took about 2 weeks to get all of my employment verifications and stuff back but then it was fast moving.

That seems a little more realalistic. At first she said she was going to set me up to go next week. But i would rather not rush out there forgetting some small detail that might get me sent home. Besides i would like a little time to study up for the exam.
