Justin if you get your physical and CDL permit you can get into the school at TN Tech. $1400 it runs 'til December 15th. They are wnating to do a night class. They need 2 more students for a total of 5 to do it. The number over there is 615 425 5500. Wanda is a sweet lady. You'll need your birth certificate take a physical over at TN Urgent care on White Bridge road. They are a walk in clinic. It is $70 for the DOT physical and drug test. Rush it over to the DMV take your test run it down the street and get on the list. All you need to study is chapters 2,3,5,6 to get your learner permit. I studied the night before, while I was in the waiting room at the doctors, and in the DMV. Go over the revue questions.

Called USA they told me they aren't hiring in TN right now..........
-
Wow that's very strange, I wonder what Driver Solutions would tell you? They may be offering only Pam in TN now. It think it might just be students, because this is a strong lane heading east for them. I have a neighbor who moved here from out of state and just completed his school in Texas, his wife got a corporate transfer........long story short, he has heard the "we are not taking students from TN" too....he applied to Tyson, Conway Truck Load (formerly CFI) and Grand Island. I know he has some minor speeding tickets, and that might just be their easy way to get off the phone. I know everyone has really tighten their standards.

Looks like USA changed their mind about TN, as I see Drivers Solutions just posted another ad for trainees in both Yahoo Hot Jobs, and another online line recruting website. I thought that was strange with all the customers they have in Nashville and Knoxville.

Justin did you get ahold of the TN Tech? I am going to orientation 9/21. I don't have a seat unless someone doesn't show.
-
Does anyone one know when "exactly" does USA truck pay Driver solutions the tuition for school? Is it when USA officially decides to bring you into orientation? Is it once orientation is complete? Is is once your issued your own truck after training? Or, not until your year with USA is fulfilled? Would love to know the answer to this Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer it!

I went to TN Tech today. Met one of the teachers. He has 3 years in trucking. Is a TN certified CDL tester, and was a college grad before going into trucking.
I can't register until Oct 2nd. I have to pay at that time. The Work Force Essentials won't pay unitl I am registered. I have to see how that plays out!
I thought I took a drug screen for my DOT physical. I didn't. I did today!
There was only 5 of us. No night class. I was hoping we could have one of those! -
You mean 30 years, thats Mr. Warren. He is a smart guy and I learned a ton from him.

Yep, that beeez de man!
