Until my truck started having a coolant leak I never really kept an eye on my temperature gauge well not as much as I did after the leak that is. Anyways when going up long hills fully loaded my temp gauge starts to climb a bit and then once at the top of the hill it goes back down. I never really noticed this before, just assumed it stayed at around 220. Anyways is this typical and nothing to be worried about? I mean the fan doesn't even kick on which tells me either the fan temp gauge sensor isn't working or it doesn't sense the temps hot enough to engage it. I usually have the cruise set at 66 or 67 while this is happening. Pic below shows where it gets Freightliners temp gauge.jpg up to mostly. I've seen it go a bit higher than that but not much more. I just had the radiator replaced due to previously mentioned leak also.

    Pamela1990 Thanks this.
