    I've been to the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor.

    I was a crewmember on the USS New Jersey (BB-62) at the time I visited the memorial.
    We did a port visit to Hawaii.

    If Japan had came back for a third round that day things may have been a bit more of a struggle to get back on our feet

    Not to mention if they searched down our fleet of carriers and sunk them.

    Huge WW2 buff but mostly on the European theater.

    My school chum that i am still friends with dad flew B-24s in the Pacific theater and than moved onto B-29s

    He was unbeknownst to him on rotation to drop the Hiroshima bomb.

    He said he was glad he never was onboard for that as he couldn’t live with that amount of death

    But do we rule over them.
    America helped rebuild and helped them turn into a economic superpower.
    What part of their GDP is given to the USA?
    With what is happening with China I bet Japan is thankfully to have Okinawa.
    Otherwise Japan may turn into another Tibet or Taiwan.
