Flatbed is your friend if you for sure want to stay away from nights. I’d start applying at all the p&d jobs one will stick even with your inexperience. If that don’t work look for a construction company that needs equipment hauled around or local flatbed. It’s hiring season for that. Also Foodservice is mostly days but it’s physical labor. They take anybody depending on the area.

Yeah a few of them... the reason i went with Schneider was because of the tuition reimbursement deal but of course i didn't know how bad the night shift would be.

Yeah i went to lowes and got the curtains and drink a lot of water on my route too. I've worked 12 hour shifts at fedex ground as a delivery driver in the summer so the heat and fast pass labor intensive jobs aint nothing new to me. If i worked days like that I would at-least not be tired all the freaking time theres just something about sleeping during the day it just makes me and some people i know feel like they never get sleep. I'm really not liking it and i have a feeling I wont get used to it like most people I know who have pulled the same shift do.

Some are cut out for night driving and other's aren't. I never liked it and never would do it. I drive to see things and after driving a few hours in the dark I'm a basket case. It would be better if you could get a day route with your current employer, but if you can't there are plenty of other places that will take you.

Schneider has all sorts of programs and opportunities which is one of the good things about working with an outfit like them. Try and find another fleet to work in and don't lose what little seniority and trust you've accrued.
