You are correct. It takes a while to adjust, especially if you are older. I took a job doing night runs. Left to go get truck at 4:00 pm. Hit the road at 5. Got back around 5:00 am. Home at 5:30 or so. Get to sleep by 7. Wake up at 2. Shower, dress, eat, repeat. It's taxing. Took me about 3 months to settle in. Around 550 miles a night. 65% interstate. The worst is letting yourself get back regular on weekends. Now you are out of sync again.

You know your body and what it needs and is capable of.
If you can't or don't want to continue ask your immediate supervisor if there is anything else besides the graveyard shift.
If not submit a 2 wk notice to your boss and a delivery conformation copy to the HR dept.
    Keep a copy for yourself.
State you are resigning due to health concerns w a realistic last day and make sure to return any items they've given you for the job.
During that last 2 wks start inquiring at local day jobs, maybe you get lucky.
You don't want big orange to control your future.

It's all about control at Schneider.
If your not careful , they're always trying to indoctrinate you.

Brother stick with it.....the reality is, just about every trucking job will give your social life a knockout blow. You're going to work well past the 40 hrs per week a typical job shells out. It doesn't matter if it is OTR, LTL, or whatever. It's always long hrs. Then when you get time off, you only feel like sleeping and resting. That being said, if going to sleep in the day is that difficult, my suggestion is to hit your nearest convenient store on the way home, pick up a 40 oz of Bud Light, or whatever beer of choice, drink it up, and you'll sleep like a baby. Since you're home everyday, you can do that.

More importantly, try to get your experience. Don't quit. The time will come and go. Schneider is pretty big. They've got options

It’s interesting to me, Schneider is a BIG company that doesn’t interest me but I do hear better things about them than most megas.

Yeah man, same here. In fact, I've even heard good things about their lease program
