Hope he fights that.Sounds like this is one cop that hates trucks period.
tech10171968 Thanks this. -
The tank signaled his intention, he did come across the line towards the motorcycles a little fast but they had plenty of time to react.
Sheriff Roscoe P Coltrane had plenty of time to react as well. Looks to me, though, like his ego got in the way and instead of reducing speed to avoid an incident he decided to play Super Trooper and got what was coming.
Hope the motorcycles didn't have to pay for his ignorance.tech10171968, HalpinUout and Badmon Thank this. -
I think you need to look at it again, watch the tanker to the right. He forced the motorcycle in front of the cop. He absolutely deserves that ticket.spyder7723, Anonymousproxy, RustyBolt and 4 others Thank this.

I agree. I looked at it several times before reading posts. The tanker came over too quick on the motorcycles.
If you look at the lane the motorcycles are in, you can see the "black" in the center of the lane where vehicle tires don't run. The truck was clearly in the lane of the motorcycles too quick & caused the motorcycles to move over in front of the trooper.
The tanker caused the crash.
However, I also noticed that the trooper was running pretty fast. Look how fast he is coming upon traffic. If the trooper isn't going on a call, he is driving way too fast. However, its possible the trooper was going on a call & was legally going that fast.
Its highly unlikely that the trooper was going the posted speed limit & all other traffic was going that much slower than the posted speed limit. The trooper was going a good 15 mph faster than other traffic.Last edited: Sep 4, 2016

The trooper had plenty of time to brake when the motorcycle entered the hammer lane.tech10171968, Lepton1, 7-UP and 1 other person Thank this.

You're right,i didn't look at the video close enough.Lepton1 Thanks this.

The motorcycle was moving from the left lane to the center, and the truck was moving from the right lane to the center. The motorcycles were traveling faster than the truck, and the lead bike was in the truck's blind spot. The bikers were paying attention, and seemed to have anticipated that the truck driver could not and did not see them. The cop was NOT paying attention, nor driving with due regard for the safety of others.
Truck driver needs a good lawyer.allisonisatranny, KillingTime, icsheeple and 6 others Thank this. -
Larry, Curly and Moe all played a part.
Lepton1 and Cottonmouth85 Thank this. -
I wasn't there, but I'm pretty sure when the lights and sirens are on it shows on the camera and I didn't notice any. The trooper looked like he was going pretty fast...
