As we all know, the free market will take care of itself, and nobody should have a limit placed on their income.
There, now most of you can sit this one out.dunchues, brian991219, jinxutoo and 5 others Thank this. -

15% seems fair, to me. Then they'd fight for shippers to pay better, too, because it'd have a greater potential effect on their income.Brettj3876, Dino soar, rachi and 2 others Thank this. -
Forget the carriers.
If its all about the money, why don't the shippers
Care what the brokers make.
If I'm a shipper or receiver and pay a broker 5 grand
To move my loads, then find out the broker moves it
For 2500 and pockets the rest, then I'd be royally pissed.
That's a ton of money over a years time that company
Could have saved.
But never hear a word from them.
I don't get it. -
Capping profit is no good.
to fix the industry just regulate brokers like MLO’s simple fix.
Full transparent rate con that’s uniform across all firms.
Let the trucker decide what the broker should keep. -
If the shippers and receivers have no complaints about the current situation there is going to be no change at all.
Western flyer, gentleroger, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
Can't compare brokers and realtors. Show me a realtor that pays the homeowner and waits for the buyer to pay them. Capping profit worked out so well with health insurance didn't it? People go into trucking with the attitude that driving the truck is all they need to do. We don't need any sales skills, we have load.boards. We don't need any finance backing, we have factoring. We don't need to know how to do anything, there's someone out there to do it for us.

Sorry cry babies, when you kick the door open for the government to fix something because of your greed, be prepared for more restrictions and regulations you demanded on others to be put on you.
These idiots want the government involved in something that they should be fighting the government to get out of the industry.
The brokers are not the problem, the amount of trucks and marginal owners are.
And you all wonder why the eld regs were so easy to put in place.
Can't wait ... when some bureaucrat figures out that the brokers have a margin limit, it can benefit the megas to limit the margin for the truck owners.Idahojoel, Brettj3876, jason6541 and 17 others Thank this. -
Same people who complain about low rates probably factor their loads. Can’t change stupid.
Idahojoel, Dale thompson, lsnook24 and 5 others Thank this.
