Hooked up to a trailer this week. Left turn signals worked. Right turn signals didn't work.

I inserted the slick ends of two plastic ties into the Phillips 7 way, and then inserted the light cord. The plastic ties are the perfect size to shim up the light cord for a nice snug fit.

    Problem solved.

Pretty basic stuff, but if you do a lot of drop and hooks, you will run into this problem frequently.

Eyeing tandems to avoid paying scales and wasting time.

95% of loads, same product on all pallets, can be eyed to perfection. Just try it, weigh to verify and very soon, unless it's 40+k, you'll never waste time scaling.

Simple technique, set center of tandems to edge of last pallet. Once I started doing this, I NEVER had s scaling issue and unless extremely heavy, I never feared a weigh station(for weight).

    Just try it, you'll see!

Disclaimer: I said 95%, save your "what if" or "once I had a load......" If you try it and it doesn't work, present your data, I'm all eyes!

    Good luck and be safe!

If your driving down the highyway and all of a sudden white out conditions or super dense fog, use the gps to follow the road. Set dahboard to show elevation and heading. Works great.

I ran into whiteout conditions on the 84 around devils pass at night and the gps helped me out when I needed it. Dont totally rely on it, you still have to look for vehicles in front of you. Its a gps not radar.

    That is a Swift thing.

It seems every load I pick up at the Swift terminal in Laredo is missing both seals.
And it's funny that the Laredo terminal is the only terminal with a BIG sign telling you of 3 places to get glad hand seals. Even the guard shack has them.
And then they will only give you 2-4 of them, like they are made of gold.

    And I've dropped trailers there.
I've never been asked to remove them, or even thought to do so.
    So, where are they going?

Is there a gremlin going around removing seals, and tossing them over the border?
Is Mexico short on rubber these days?
