Torque/Hp bump up.

Volvo's engine software is their own and no one can just go in and change a few setting and bump it up

1st only a volvo dealer can do it.... no diesel doctor, no outside shop
2nd BIG BUCKS

the dealer will have to check with Volvo to see what all the specs are for your truck... max torque for things like the clutch, trans, diff's. u joint's everything.... cooling ability, turbo size.... takes a few days for them to check.... then the dealer can tell you what you can change it too... max hp for a d13 in a truck is 500 max torque is 1,750....

reliability should stay about the same..... Volvo woun't let you go over what your drive train can take

engine software upgrade run $500-$1500..... this is reprograming the ecm with all new software with the setting needed for it to run at the new level

 

Maybe you should drive the vehicle as it was designed to be driven.

Then again....

You may want to buy a custom built 650 HP 2150 Lb tourque Cummins and drop it in a Glider.

a d13 can be set up to 900 hp with the factory twin turbo setup.... just not in a truck

same as a d16 in a 780 max hp is 525, in a 880 max hp is 625, over seas a d16 max is 750 hp..

 

Look up the guys at PDQ diesel performance.....the D13 will really uprate

I left in the hollowed out dpf filter its just as quite as stock and looks like its never been messed with and I run out to cali.
