I doubt he will ever get $8.00 from that place
Bud A. Thanks this. -
They’re crooks
Bud A. and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
One would think that an honest frieght brokerage wouldnt need a security officer in a car stationed near the building enterance.... But TQL obviously has one. So obviously they know that they screw drivers over enough that they fear they need security on site.
That alone speaks volumes to me about that company.bzinger, drvrtech77, Bud A. and 3 others Thank this. -
my company ran one of their loads and I read the second half of it. They demanded I download a tracking app on my phone and I said I was not doing that on my personal phone after I delivered the load and texted them and I had delivered the load at 4:45 AM Approximately five hours later than texted me again demanding I download the app I told him I was not under the road anymore, but they need to cease communicating with me. Two days later they communicated again via text, saying they demand that I download the Tracking App at that point I turn around and told him that if they did not stop texting me demanding that garbage that I was going to turn around and come after them in Waze, they never us and I wasn’t gonna put up with the harassment anymore he seem to stop after that but that’s how crooked they are.

you’re blaming the wrong folks your carrier agreed to it when they signed the carrier agreement with the broker. That’s how the broker got your phone number so they could send the tracking to you. It’s your carrier you should be upset about not the broker. For my owner operator, A company issued tablet is issued for tracking, apps. Just a thought

My driver mgr has made it clear that he will not give my phone number to any broker without my consent because its my phone and i pay the bill..

Read your companies carrier agreement with TQL. Doesn’t matter what your driver manager says. Your company signed the contract, they have to own up to it. that’s why you’re getting hassled. I don’t think your company would ever show you the Carrier agreement from TQL on them because it would probably not look that great. They’re always written to protect the brokerage.86scotty Thanks this.

Bs…my phone my decision..I dont care what broker says.. had to be honest, every single broker that’s demanded by phone number that has wanted to demand an app downloaded on my phone. I have refused to this point, and my company stands behind me…bzinger Thanks this.

If they stand both behind you like you say, why are they giving your number out to the broker? Because they’re not standing behind you. They’re playing the same game. Everyone else has to play. The contract requires driver information for the said reasons. I get the aggravation, I understand your point. What I do different is, I give the driver a tablet and their choice of a cell phone. I sent email updates with every change of action to include twice daily to the broker to avoid these phone calls. But if they happen, at least they can do it on a device that I pay for. if you saw the contract they signed for and also the rate confirmation details and the policies I think you would understand the broker is not being the one at fault it is your company that is asking for the work from the broker and to do exactly what the broker wants. Otherwise they could find someone else to work with. Your company doesn’t have some magic pull, if they did, they would not be doing business with TQL. Think about it I love your loyalty, though.
