What would cause rear tractor tires to shake or bounce violently after hitting a bump or pothole?
I have a 20k load on and have to come to a complete stop before the shaking/bouncing stops then can continue,
Has happened 3 times since I left Toronto, at Quebec border now.
I see nothing wrong visually

Shocks are shot. Probably needs an alignment too if you're feeling it in the steering wheel. You didn't mention if you were. Just throwing that out there.

A bad or wet balance product in the tire.
When you accelerate normally centrifugal force distributes it equally around the inside of the tire. Then you hit a large bump at speed it is knocked out of place. It clumps together and you have to start over.
That is just my guess. Clean the stuff out of the tires and truck on.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Start with replacing all the shocks. If it's bouncing they're not controlling the suspension anymore.
