I use TruckerPath and I believe it also uses Google map traffic info as TP Maps show traffic delays in near real-time.

    I'll give TP a go.

I frequently have Google Maps running in addition to my Rand McNally GPS. GM gives heads up for traffic delays and suggested faster routes, BUT be careful about using their detours in a big truck.

GM is more up to date than RM in many areas, like through construction areas that might have RM going nuts, or simply driving I-45 through Dallas (RM wants you to exit into city traffic and get back on the freeway after a mile or two).

I do that in Tx all day long. Depending what part of Tx you're in, you can make pretty good time running the access road when there's a jam.

In my area I think it's spelled more along the lines of "SiBee"

I rarely drive WITHOUT Trucker Path live on my phone. It also allows my android phone screen to stay live without eventually going dark or to the lock screen. I usually have Radar Now running in the background if there is forecast for notable weather on my route. Radar is better than asking some dufus on the CB "westbound when do wr rum out of this rain". That's like getting Wx info from passengers getting off a Greyhound bus, except you get twice the delay in info. Radar is almost NOW and without the exaggeration . Sometimes an invisible magic elf switches my phone screen between TP & radar.
