I am going to be adding trailer air brakes to my straight (specialty dump) truck.

I have a couple questions about the systems.

So far I know I need a MV3 Valve Assembly, a tractor protection valve -TP3, the glad hands and air lines.

Behind the dash I have a manifold with multiple outputs with green lines. The tractor brake valve is a very old and basic 2 line unit Bendex 284726.

1 thing for sure I can't confirm in the rules is if there is a requirement for a manual trailer brake actuator handle.

2 Are there specific requirements for the colors on the air lines or can I use black?

    3 What am I missing?

Any advise would be appreciated greatly.

A trailer hand valve is not required.
    Black is fine.
You need a tractor protection valve.
Your old and my old are probably different. They used to use individual valves. PP1, PP2 and such. You could probably just add a valve.
If you list your truck and serial number some others might be able to help you a lot more.
