Thinking of jumping ship and going to schneider.. Just wondering how their trailer management is. Do you have to look for your own empty or do they provide you with a trailer number and location when one is needed?

They will usually send you at least a location and, sometimes, a specific trailer number. But no guarantees. Trailer searches in the last month or two are the worst I've seen at Schneider.
I had my worst trailer search during my 4+ years with SNI just a few weeks ago....happened in MA. Overall, though, I haven't had the problems of other drivers at other companies.
The transition to their new computer system will probably complicate things, at least for a time. But I'll give SNI credit for being better in this department than other companies I've been with. -
Most of the time they give a tr # and location but i went to get one that was in alucha fl and got there and another driver had took it to albany ga thats just one time no more sence they are not perfect but are a good company just read the forums

I have been reading the forums and talking to drivers at fuel island and they generally seem happy. I considering applying for western regional or intermodal. As long as I can get a bare minimal of 2000 miles a week. Id be happy.
