I have a 2015 tripac evolution.. Control panel works - go to start it up, the buzzer and fuel pump go to prime to start and about the time the starter goes to fire off - it shuts down and throws an alt code with red triangle...

I am completely lost with this.. Maybe a bad ground to starter ? I have changed alternators multiple times. Tried 120 amp, tried 65 amp...65 amp is what came off and the one i have in there now. Checked all fuses, all are good.. Have 12.6 volts to sense wire on plug as well as same voltage inside the box... I have plugged into my laptop and it wont show any codes...

Anybody have any idea where i should start

Best option set it on fire and get something else lol......tripacs are absolute junk. That said from experince one of two things are happening here. Either A and most likely is the computer is not reading any signal from the alt and thinks its bad in which case you need to check wires, belt and so on....or B and as happened in mine the new alt caused the computer to cook and get ready to pay $7500

Never been able to find one and TK demanded $2600 for a copy. As for an apu try green APU their supposed to be oretty good units with all off the shelf parts. Im actully in the process of trying to finance one+their arctic package to ditch this TK peice of ####. Took it into TK yesterday because of the overheat issues amd they want to sell me a whole new engine ECM compressor and wireing harness for $11,000 or i can go new for $23,000 SUCH a deal <extreme sarcasm here> meanwhile a green is $13K installed and uses a kubuta engine with honda AC parts. Most of which i have in my shop for our kubuta diesel generator and my dads honda.

Dont blame you and ive thought about it. The ONLY reason i dont is i live in SD where it gets hecking cold. So i want that arctic package and dont want to lug around a genny big enough to both power a block heater+tank heater+coolant heater and everything else as well.

Sounds like a major power drop. Need to check voltage at the main power for the board, batteries and starter.
Does it have the 50 amp fuse close to the starter?
