Trolley break??

    Is that what you call it? I have a lever on the steering wheel that just uses the rear brakes. Is it ok to use those breaks when getting on an off ramp from the highway? What about using it with the engine break for more stopping power. Can any harm come from this if it is used this way?

    Uh, use your brakes to brake. No reason to use the trolley bar.

    Will it damage the breaks if you use it to slow down while driving for 4-5 seconds at a time?

    A lot of companies are not even getting them on new trucks because of driver abuse, so that probably answers your question about will it hurt.
