I want to be an O/O someday. If I thought I'd have the wallet to go new it would definitely be a glider, otherwise I'd look or a per-emissions truck and plan on rebuilding / restoring. Hell my Harley's stil have carbs on them, no fuel injection.

Fuel injection actually was a good thing and a must for diesel engines.
Even the beginning of electronics made trucks more effecient.
It's the emmissions (so we can breath the exhaust?) that ruined the more modern engines.
The newer trucks do have their advantages, and probably more comfortable.

I have a 06international C13 with 680k. Been a pretty good truck so far, drinks a lot of oil. Probably do a inframe sometime this year. I will keep my truck, its paid for.
