Many things here that can cause that. Some have been mentioned. You say you had a "tune" put in when you did turbo. With no pyro or boost gauge you can't tell how hot the exhaust is getting or over boosting it. Do you hear a "gasp" when you down shift on a pull? If you do your stalling the turbo. That will snap a shaft in short time. Is it a Chinese knock off turbo ? Is pyro getting above 1000 deg. ? How high is the boost going ? You need to figure this stuff out when your modify an engine to make it last. First turbocharged failure you need to clean filter can and replace filter and clean all intake tubing to remove all shrappnel. Cac also.

Honestly you guys have covered it.
He needs boost and pyrometer guages first and foremost. Go from there.
