    In this case, I think the broker was cheap to the customer and didn't have enough in it to pay a good rate. That's just going by the conversations I've had with the broker and customer. The broker offered a bottom of the barrel rate to get the loads and then tried to find some poor sap to haul them. I also know there were several brokers competing for the contract and they just beat each other up until they got to the lowest possible dollar. I don't know what the loads paid but I can almost bet it was the lowest paying loads posted going from TN to the west coast.

    I don't deal with brokers. When I'm hauling something, I deal directly with customer. When I need a load covered, I call a trucking company directly that I know can handle the job.

    I don't really have a problem with foreigners in general, but at least be able to speak and understand English if you are going to be in a job that requires you to interact with Americans on a daily basis.

    We finished up the job today. Two more non-English speaking drivers. Luckily, the loading was uneventful.

    I totally agree with you and would have loved you to load my trailer. I'll show you securement to make joy in your day. And that load will get there too. You might have to pay a bit more than what the non english speaking drivers might be asking from you.

    If you are having drivers tell you something that you know is wrong, and I know it's wrong just looking at the pictures which collaborate your story then your Broker does not know these drivers he is sourcing is crap.

    There has to be a way to source good drivers who will do these loads right. They look like there has been a bit of blood, sweat and tears of many workmen in making them the way they are made for the work they will need to do when delivered. Intact and no damage.

    My vote, the drivers are the idiots here. Bless me, I don't see a chain anywhere over around that trailer... that is not a secured load.

    That was my thought as I was reading the post.

    This sounds like a problem with the broker behind the scenes. Basically,.. You get what you pay for.

    I cant begin to count how many times I was thanked because I spoke english and made sure my load was secured properly.

    Sadly,.. I have seen good ole english speaking Americans do the same thing. Ignorance is not restricted to just the non-english speaking parties.

    Guess I never really thought about how difficult it must be from a shippers perspective.
