Special rules for hauling sod..... But mostly, the standard seems to be "2 straps per load, if you feel like it"

I've posted pictures of this before,.. but mainly the tarping because it was a tedious beast to cover.

But since you mentioned blocking/cribbing. This was one that the riggers had no choice but to crib it up like this. If memory serves correct,.. this press weighed in just shy of 38k lbs. I chained the snot out of it because being under the tarp,.. the only way to know if a chain came loose would be when I stop to check on it. I try to stay vigilant about my loads when going down the road. Hard to keep an eye on something you cant see. I was really nervous that the cribbing would shift or come loose some how. It rode well and made it to its destination exactly how it was when I left the shipper.

This is probably the first time I have shown this angle of this load.

Ironically I was behind one today with chunks flying off everywhere. I was so happy when I finally got passed him.

Do not judge us from turbos actions.... Some of the stuff that guy does makes a "non English speaking person" look like a saint...

You get an Aussie or a kiwi that's driven road trains AND actually takes pride in how there work presents to the public.

That is when you see the difference.

I see quite regularly how people on here say how harsh dot is here.. Go drive in Australia and make a mistake of 15 minutes on a page in your logbook from 2 months ago. And perhaps a few miscalculations and even a few uneven lines...

That good pay packet you had last week? Get ready to pass that over and the next 3.....

How about you save some lives. Call the DOT for each state he is passing through. Give them the company and truck number. Hopefully someone can get him into a scale house for an inspection.

It's funny Turbo was the one I had in mind! Also that woman that drove for gkr or something of the like. I will say a couple of those guys are real truckers! And from what I've seen most drivers in the US wouldn't make one trip in the bush. That one dude Steve is my hero! It took him 48 days to finish one trip.

I've been watching it, its interesting to see how its done other places. Seems about like America in many aspects, every time Shui and Gordo Evans come on I get grossed out a little, about like here when I walk into a truckstop. My question is does anyone over there wear shoes?
