Yep, seems to be very common, almost like they are scared of the left lane. I have had them move over less that 20' from my front bumper. Nothing ahead of us for at least a mile and then look in the mirror and there is nothing for at least a half mile. Just does not make sense. Do this to the wrong driver and they may retaliate with a brake check.

I have a VERY bright hand held spot light. Frequently if another driver is trying to back into a dark area or spot I'll light up the back area so he can see.

I also turn on all my marker lights if a driver is backing in next to me. Help out one another. Make your own intentions clear.

These are good. I'll keep these in mind for when I begin my career here soon. Any that haven't been listed? I want to be the most courteous I can as I know I appreciate it when someone is for me.

A brake check would be... Pathetic.

You're right, it does not make sense. One thing I don't like is when the guy passing you is going maybe a 1/2 mile per hour faster than you but he's running the limiter on his truck... This happened to me last week. I couldn't help but let off and flash him over, #### rolling roadblock for everyone else. I for one do not run my limiter... I maintain plenty of passing power (typically 3km/h to play with). Passing power is a beautiful thing.

When merging onto a highway, let the guys who moved over for you to get by you before you get completely up to speed. Even if you're empty and they're loaded or whatever. Let them get back over, then you can pass after that if you feel the need to. No one likes moving over for someone just for them to get up to the same speed they're going and sitting beside you.

Hey that also happened to me within the past week...

If i cant pass like i mean it, i will lay off the pedal for a few seconds... 1 or 2 mph means about a min over a hour of driving. By then either they have gotten off, or traffic puts us all down 5 mph. No point fighting for 1 mph. I got better things to do than that...

Discuss all of those issues that you'd like. It's just easier for members to keep up with if it's all in one thread instead of being in five different threads.
