What’s it take to get on with UPS? I’m trying to plan and strategize how to make the big bucks and still be home every day or night. I think UPS seems to be the way to go. How much experience will I need? What exactly are they looking for?

It'll take experience, a clean record, and probably a lot of patience. I imagine they have a waiting list out of this world. Not to mention others who are working the docks waiting for their opportunity.
celticdriver23 and FloridaBoy93 Thank this. -

All these years you been on here, you could’ve completed a driver apprentice position at any company and already have a few years driving experience.

right now companies like UPS ,FedEx and purolator are looking for seasonal drivers for the up coming xmas rush . If you’re planning to get on full time and they call you make sure you ask is this for seasonal or full time and ask will i be let go come spring time
-
UPS will hire seasonal help after the rush is over.
-
Depends on your location. We didn't hire any seasonal because of the over-hiring that happened during the plandemic and things were good. Once it was over, sleeper jobs got eliminated or transferred to larger hubs and some brown jobs got cut due to our not a recession economy. It would be hard to get in now unless you were lucky.
Right now your only hope would to be a hub-rat (package handler) and bid a position from within.Rubber duck kw Thanks this.
