using threads as glorified PM-ing...?

And this is why "I LOVE THIS BOARD"..if I want structure and all work and no play well I wouldn't be here..I guess this may sound some what well you decide:

I belong to a veriety of boards some seem more like family some don't...personally it's nice to belong to something that even though you've never personally met or spoken to you feel like they have your back and yes alot of questions get asked over and over and over agian even though there's a huge archive of questions about anything and everything with answers to anything and everything but guess what..9 out of 10 times these vetran drivers and there other halves will graciously answer over and over again any thing you ask..and as far as comming on and asking opinions well yes ya better have a bit of thick skin at times...personally I ask myself before I ask others because my moto is "Go ahead and ask but be prepared for the responces".. just my 2 cents that aren't worth much..

awww..... this place is just like a good ole' fashioned diner or truckstop (not a travel center)...

You come in and there's a lot of tables and a lot of good folks hangin' out talking about a bunch of different things.

Over in the corner ther's a group talking about religion and another "debating" politics.

Some folks you know and others are new. They come and go throughout the day tellin' tales and jokin' around. Sometimes there's some really good information and other times just some laughs.

Some times we have good days and others.... well, not so much.

And.....

Keep in mind a lot of us have met in person and/or talk on the phone on a regular basis. I guess if people have a problem with us switching topics; I like cheese cake. Then they need to find a dictator board somewhere and join it. I enjoy reading posts on here. This is more than just a site to gather info or share it.

 

Wow I just read thru this thread. I like cheese cake and Nana has great pie and so does Wolfie!

Geez when I was new on here and NEEDED information as I was trying to learn stuff I was AMAZED at how helpful everyone was! I also thought it was great the the posts were interspersed with humor! When you are looking for information it is there-sometimes quicker than you can imagine and with so many angles from different poster you are amazed at the mass of information. ON THE OTHER HAND- some posts just wander and meander where ever they want to go. I admit to many wanderings * admits is slow cuz is blonde* but at the end of the day -if you got your information and HAD a FEW laughs then it's been a good day at TTR!!!

Nana: please continue to hijack threads and bring pie!!!
