i started in june 2012 with USX.. after my training with the trainer... i went team ...and the miles was bad... the first month, every week we was getting from 3,000 to 4,000 miles at .16cents per miles... thats what they going to pay u for 8 weeks... so , my checks, was 250/350/the larger check was 645.... YES u will go broke...after those 8 weeks,
running team u can make 1,000 after taxes....is not a bad company..but the comunication, lies and disorganization, is ridiculous ...

 

Last I knew, they do not have APU's or EPU's. They do not keep the trucks long enough to spend the money on them. They allow you a Power Inverter up to a 1750, but it has to be installed by them. I would read other posts before you buy one to make sure you buy the right one, as the only allow certain ones.

As for your benefits, you will have to wait 90 days before you will get them. Or at least that was how it was when I worked for them. Idle rule are somewhat regulated as well. It all depends on the outside temp.

 

I hated running with USX. Like you said, no communication, lies, poor attitudes from the dm's, and that freakin on guard crap

Craig it is just amazing that any and all negative opinions that people post have to be wrong in your eyes, but then again most people already know that USX pays you a bonus for trying to tell people other wise of the truth with a company that has such a high turn over rate.

 

There are all kinds of problems at USX just like any large company. Communication is certainly a problem and I have told a bunch of drivers this.

Your little digs at the phantom bonus you think I must receive because I am successful here and think it is a pretty good company is laughable. The only pay I have ever received from USX is my mileage pay, my new team bonus of 2500 each to my wife and I, you would not know about this since you have to be able to last at least a couple of months to get the first payment, and we did split a 2000 bonus for an experienced team we knew that moved to USX Sorry, that is all they have given me. I do make pretty good money however, as I pick up my loaded trailers and deliver them on time. I would just challenge anyone who reads your posts to look at all of your posts before they give credence to your opinions. The pattern is pretty clear. It is also pretty telling when you listen to the crickets chirping of those that agree with you or have had anything like the very short experience you had with the company.
I really do hope that you find a way to move on in life, your vitriol is just unhealthy
